Ask the Readers — Issue #1

ZZ0075F895.jpgStarting this week, tomorrow, Monday, October 27th, 2008 there is going to be a new weekly feature on Blog For Profit. The new feature is going to be called “Ask the Readers.” This is your chance to ask a question you would liked answered here on Blog For Profit. Anything you might want to know about blogging. And if I don’t know the answer, I am going to go out and find a guest blogger to answer it for us.

You can get me your questions one of three ways, and they are:

  1. grant@g2webmedia.com
  2. @grantgriffiths
  3. Leave a comment on this post. (And I will do a reminder post each Sunday to get me your questions).

And I am hoping we get more then one question each week. Because if I can do it, I will give an answer to each one. I want this to be a community where we discuss blogging and how to use it to market your business or professional service firm. And I want you the readers and community to be involved in that process. Blog For Profit will only get better if there is a lot of reader involvement. Not only in what we blog about, but also in the conversations we have on those blog post.

I have said it before, and I will say it again. There have been a number of times the comments, emails and even the tweets which have come from you have been better then the post themselves. And don’t forget, just because I might post an answer to a readers question, doesn’t mean I don’t want all of you to also jump in and comment, give your own take on things. This is how we all grow.

And to quote: “If we don’t change we don’t grow. If we don’t grow we are not really living.”

We all can take advantage of ideas and interaction which can take place here to change how we might do things and in the process grow are blogs. And we can take the growth of our blogs and use it to build and grow our businesses. So, get your questions in soon. Lets “keep the conversation going.”

  • I've been blogging since April, and am starting to struggle with strategy. I started writing posts commenting on legal issues, trying to get noticed by other bloggers. Success has been slow, which I'm sure is the norm. I've noticed some blogs seem to concentrate more on issues that potential clients would be interested in, and try to improve ranking on search engines. How do you decide which approach to use, or is there a way to incorporate them both?
