I am a big fan of incorporating a membership site into your blog and we have had success doing membership sites ourselves. In fact, we are working on a new feature for Blog For Profit and it will include a membership element. And Michael Martine and I are working on some new things too.
I am also a big fan of Teaching Sells from Brian Clark at Copyblogger, but it is closed right now.
Another great example of how someone is using this business model is, David Risley, who has some great information on his blog about membership sites and he has a couple of his own where he is providing some great information to his members.
The membership site model can really work for you, no matter what your particular niche might be. Whether you blog about training dogs, weight loss or DIY car repair, don’t discount a membership site with your blog.
The model works and here are just some of the reasons:
- Once your members join, you get paid until the program finishes
- Delivery is simple and for the most part free
- With the new products available to set up your membership site like Wishlist
- No matter where you are or what you are doing, you can promote your membership products

Yaro Starak’s Membership Site Mastermind is one you should take the time to check out.
