First time visitor here. Glad I stopped by.

I'm really not all that familiar with guest posting. I've been to a lot of blogs lately that have guest posts and to be honest I don't think I've read a bad one yet. Guest posters definitely put their best foot forward.

As I was reading all these guest posts I was wondering how this process works. Well I don't have to wonder anymore as you have supplied me with all the info I need right here.

Guest posting is something I will definitely try in the near future. Whether it's to write one or open my blog up to them.

The few times I have guest posted, my traffic went wild and I received big bumps in my subscriber numbers. This is a great post with all the right advice.

To date, I've only hosted guests at my site if I was asked directly. Personally, I love both guest posting at other blogs as much as hosting a guest. It keeps the conversation going in new directions and I like the idea of introducing people to one another regardless of the locale. :)

I'm the other way around with this and am now offering guest posts on my site - one per week. it's working really well and gives a fresh perspective to issues and gives me a break.

I guest post where I can, but with 6 posts per week on my own site, I have more than enough to keep me busy!

I definitely used this when started out our site to gain more interest in what we were doing. It really works!

Great thoughts! I've gotten a lot more exposure since I began "Guest Post Fridays" and found that other bloggers enjoy the chance to post there. I also get great perspectives on other areas of my "niche" that would not normally be there if I were the only poster.
