HARO is a good tip, Robert - thanks!

I find my 'top three' ways of promoting content are social media, commenting on other, relevant blogs, and through the RSS on our site.

Apart from the 7 you have listed, I'm not really sure what else there is, so I'm looking forward to reading other's responses and picking up tips.

Hay everyone, don't you find this to be a great process?
The quest posting process [connecting and asking] turned out to be fun for me. I have two under consideration, and have initiated a second mutual link.
Here is another Promotion arena: HARO which stands for "Help A Reporter Out" or
When you sign up you get lists [3 times per day] of reporter requests for expert information and copy. That way, if you are the blogger with the knowledge the reporter needs, you get known and hopefully pushed forward. Also, if you have a high enough Google and Alexa page rank, you can ask to be a journalist and ask for info as a "journalist". I didn't qualify, but they were very nice about it. I don't know that it can be used by any of you or not. It has been fun for me. The thing that HARO cautions you about is to not send stuff to reporters that is off topic. You can be reported and banned. Most of my stuff is tangentially correspondent or supplemental and not directly on target, so I say so up front in my communications when I contact the given email address of some reporter looking for info. I mention that "if they have time" this ... bla bla "Link" ... might be of use to them, etc. I have had some responses, but we were not able to make my material suitably humorous for their readership. Still, I can give all the reporters exposure to either my principal blog: EductiveFutureGroup.com or the investment blog: EductiveFutureGroup.com or most importantly my comertial website: IRREVERENTreluctantFUTURIST.com Meat and Potatoes “Action” page

And tell them to: Always click on "Proceed" on any page (Home) to get back to this special "ask your question" page.
AND to Request an example of work product via: IRE@IRREVERENTreluctantFUTURIST.com

So how was that for self promotion within a comment arena? Too pushy? I wouldn't know since I am so new to all this.

Respectfully yours,
