I often say Twitter = interacting & learning. And if you use Twitter in that way, it will be more of a benefit to you than an information overload or a waste of your time.
Twitter can be a waste of time. It can be a bad distraction and it can be overwhelming. But if you will take these 7 different ways of using Twitter, it will instead be a way for you to network and even market.
7 Ways to Use Twitter
Those are some of the ways I use Twitter and are also ways you can use Twitter so it does not become an overwhelming, waste of your time. Remember, if Twitter is used right it is a great tool. If used wrong, it will take up way too much of your time.

Great post! I’m going to have to try some of these out, even though I’m not an attorney.
I really liked idea of asking a question and getting lots of different answers.
Twitter is one of the most powerful research, polling, survey tools we have. And best of all, it is non-intrusive. People want to help and are glad to offer up answers to our questions.
Good information. Just want to address the research point. Every time I see a question on Twitter of course I know the person is doing research.
I think I would have a more positive answer if the author were offering their point of view when asking what do you think.
I do recognize the herd will answer questions but I wonder about the participation of really experienced viewers.

Steve — Thanks for you input. I have actually been wondering about your same point for sometime. I would agree, there might be a better way to not appear as though we are doing research. At the same time however, I do believe if you are giving value to twitter on a regular basis, asking one of our “research questions” is accepted more easily by our followers. Thanks again for your comment and please continue joining in on our conversations.
