Jen and Grant, I found Jen for my podcast because I was searching for an attorney that blogged specifically about probate/estate laws in California to discuss the Michael Jackson estate. Social networking really comes full-circle. I was thrilled to read the podcast was one more tool that helped Jen be interviewed by other sources on her topic. Nice article, Jen. When I tweeted it about being Woodstock, I thought I was just being funny, but I was amazed at the number of other attorneys who re-tweeted it and agreed with it. And as I thought about it, I realized that I probably did mean it too. I've been blogging about the Jackson estate also. On Friday, I received a call from a reporter from Kiplinger's Financial Magazine who interviewed me about the financial and legal aspects of the case. She found me through my blog. David PS. Congratulations Jen! Money just can’t buy that kind of exposure.
I hope any fence-sitting attorneys (and others in the estate planning industry) reading your story will be finally convinced that social media is the real deal, not just a passing fad.
There’s almost always a big water-cooler issue that can be given an estate planning twist, even if it’s not as straightforward as the celebrity will.
Powerful stuff.
