I often talk about how blogging can get you noticed by the media, including trade journals and magazines. Here is another example of just that. Todd Smith who publishes a great blog called Texas Appellate Law Blog was recently mentioned in News for the Bar.
For those curious about the changes, a redline comparing the proposed version to the enacted version of the amendments is available on Todd Smith’s excellent Texas Appellate Law Blog. Go to the blog archives for Appellate Procedure where the link to the redline is available in the September 1, 2008 blog entry entitled “Revised TRAP Amendments Effective Today.” Todd’s blog is an excellent daily source for notes and news about Texas appellate issues and happenings.
Yes, it is only a short paragraph. However if Todd had not been writing his blog and touched on a relevant hot topic for his area, would he have received such notice? And what is best about receiving this type of PR, it cost you nothing. Just one more example of the return on investment (ROI) you can get from blogging.
If you have other examples of how bloggers are getting noticed, drop a comment to this blog post and we will include them in our next, blogger gets noticed.
