If there is one secret I can share with you all on how to use your blog’s stats to get traffic it is this. Look at the search terms people are using to find your blog. These are the search terms actual HUMANS are using to find you. Search terms somebody is typing into their search bar because they have a problem or issue they are looking for answers or solutions to. Now, click on those links and see where you are showing up in the search. If you are not in the top 5 results, you should be and you get there this way.

Take those search terms and start to write blog posts to answer the questions or provide solutions to. This is one technique I used very early on in my blogging and I got results. Usually if I posted 2 or 3 posts on that search term, I soon showed up first in the search results for that term.

The problem with most SEO techniques

The biggest problem and/or mistake most people do is they try to game the search engines. There is no real secret. What you need to do is write your blog posts to please the human searcher. Keep the person looking for your information happy, and you will keep the search engines happy.
