RSS or Email, that is the question

How we subscribe to the blogs we read has been an ongoing discussion here and even on twitter lately. So, to help my own brain cramp on the subject, I decided to ask you all. What or how do you subscribe to the blogs you read? I for one do not buy the position that RSS is the preferred method. In fact, I would almost venture to guess there are almost as many who use RSS as those who still bookmark a site. I hope I am wrong on that one.

In an attempt to find out, please take just a couple of seconds and take the poll I have below. We will publish the results soon.

Also don’t forget to subscribe to the Blog For Profit Newsletter. We include information in the newsletter we don’t feature here on the blog. And when you subscribe, you get a free copy of our eBook , Blogging Tips to Help You Blog.

I use RSS to check the blogs I want to read, and if I haven't time to read them immediately add them at my Instapaper account to read later.

Robert - Thanks for adding your take on RSS or Email. I have used Instapaper in the past. I find I am using Evernote more for saving those post I want to go back to again and again. Of course the advantage of Instapaper is the fact they have a pretty darn good iPhone app too.

I'm an email guy. RSS just gets too cluttered, whereas email (via Gmail) can be tabled for later :)

Danny - I agree RSS can get too cluttered. Especially if you are using Google Reader. That is one reason I use and love NetNewsWire for my Mac. However, there are some blogs I do subscribe to via email too.
