Be Extraordinary Instead of Ordinary Online

Recently New Media Lisa had a great post called 8 ways to be extraordinary online. Considering we are fast approaching the new year, I thought it might be appropriate to use these 8 ways to help us set our goals for the coming year.

Here they are:

  • Be patient
  • Build Relationships
  • Lift others up
  • Consistently deliver value
  • Let your personality shine through
  • Take chances
  • Take it analog
  • Take it to the streets

I hope you take this list and make 2009 an extraordinary year for you and your business.

Hi Krissy

I am reviewing my 2008 business goals and working on my 2009 business goals. I usually work from a "to do list" of daily tasks. I like your idea of having a daily schedule to manage the things I must do on my "to do list" and my time better.

Excellent, excellent goals. I guess the one thing I would add for myself would be: Have better utilization of my time. I'm definitely going to make up a schedule to stay focused. Especially so I blog, daily. Actually, the schedule would also include when I would comment, network, find time to help others, etc. Not that things would be totally set in stone, but I need something more concrete to stay focused. I try to post before 7 am and/or 7 pm daily (or used to anyway, when I posted regularly!), as most of my readers begin to read shortly after that. Lately I have not been posting in time for my readers to read it at the most opportune time. Not good...

I'm getting myself a definite schedule this year.

Thanks for some fantastic goals.
