Headway is, hands down, the best premium WordPress theme I’ve ever seen (yes, I daresay it’s even better than Thesis–and I do not make that statement lightly). It became available to the public only yesterday and it is available here.

If you’re already on the Headway notification list, sorry to bother you. But if you’re not, the Headway theme for WordPress is something you should know about.

I know the people behind Headway because I partnered with them to create Blawging Lawyers. I’ve been privy to pre-release builds of Headway and I’ve had a chance to play around with it. The developer of Headway is Clay Griffiths over at G2WebMedia. Clay has what you might call “mad skillz.” Every time he showed Headway at Dallas WordCamp a few months ago, a crowd gathered around him. He would put Headway through its paces for them.

And then their jaws would drop. See for yourself what they were impressed with by visiting the Headway Themes site now.

The “holy grail” of WordPress themes is something we have complete design control over… without writing any code. I’ve never seen any theme come as close to that holy grail as Headway. What is it about Headway?

Here is a very short partial list of what is so amazing about Headway:

• Drag and drop fill-in-the-box content editing for home page and all pages.
• Built-in color pickers for everything.
• Choose fonts for everything.
• Re-use any part of your blog anywhere else.
• Use WordPress widgets to create a “super footer” that’s loaded with great content.
• Content Rotators built-in with a variety of options like slide and cross-fade.
• More built-in SEO options than any WordPress theme on the planet (I helped them with these features–it was like getting my own personal theme SEO wishlist granted).

There’s more, but I’ll stop now. Headway is nothing short of eye-popping. If you feel like you still haven’t found the perfect theme yet for your WordPress blog, then give Headway a fair look.

Make some Headway with your blog (clever, that).

I will be changing over the design of Remarkablogger to Headway as soon as I can. Yes, I’m dumping Thesis for Headway. Thesis is great, but Headway has more of what I want in a premium WordPress theme. Look for the updated design soon (next month or so).
