I am excited to finally have the chance to travel this week out to Las Vegas for Blogworld Expo 2009. Over the last 3 years I have put this huge event on my calendar with full intentions of going. Not only is there an amazing list of sessions to attend. I am looking forward to meeting people in person.
We spend so much time interacting virtually with so many people during our day. And an event like Blogworld Expo gives us a chance to actually put a real person to the blog and twitter avatar. One person I am very excited to actually meet in person is my partner on so many projects, Michael Martine. You all probably know Michael from his great blog Remarkablogger. And if you didn’t already know, Michael works with us at Headway Themes too. He is a valuable part of our team helping me with marketing and all of the copywriting we do for the site and blog. Michael was also instrumental in helping us to get the SEO features of Headway just right.
The business relationship and friendship Michael and I have is a prime example of the power of social media and how two “competitors” can come together to collaborate on projects. Michael and I have some exciting things cooking which we will be announcing very soon.
As a bit of a celebration for me being out of the office next week, I will have in my hot little hands a black business card with a great discount for Headway Themes just for those attending Blogworld Expo.
