Using twitter as your RSS feeder — Day 13 of Twitter Tips and Hints

39567731-1395-4652-A262-E3AC861D3D48.jpgSince I started to use twitter more and more, I have found I am actually using it more for my RSS feeder than my actual feeder. That may seem strange. However, the way I organize those I follow on twitter, I can actually make a group of those on twitter who’s blog I also read. Most, if not all of them update their twitter stream with a link to their new blog post as they are published. If you think about the blogs you read, this is a great way to start to build your twitter stream too. Follow those bloggers you read and they more than likely will follow you back. Not only should you be reading their post, you should tell your own followers what you are reading by retweeting or simply putting “Reading: [post name] in your tweet. Don’t forget to include the URL and make it tiny.

Using twitter as your RSS feed is just one of the ways you can use twitter in your blogging. Be watching for more ideas in the next few days. And don’t forget to leave your own Twitter Tips and Hints and they will be included in a future post with linkage for your too.
