Totally agree. I think it depends on the situation, but it is annoying when someone follows you called @firegirl, or @runningbear......fictional names of course.......i'm likely not to follow them...........when in fact......they may be good friends and I just don't know it!

While I wholehearrtedly agree that your own name should be a part of this Twitter experience, my @constructionlaw name is getting known and to change it now, I feel, would be an issue. That said, my twitter profie has my real name address and phone number with it. I think this can straddle the line. Should I have started with my own name? Maybe, but I have gone too far to change now.

Chris- I would agree with you on that one. You have established a great brand on twitter with your name and I would not advise you to change it at all. That said, for those just starting out on twitter, I do think using your "real" name should be seriously considered. Thanks for your comment as always.
