30 Days of Twitter Tips and Hints

Welcome from my twitter page | Blog For Profit.jpgYou really would have to live in a cave in some remote country somewhere to not know about twitter. Like many of the people I talk to daily, I have found twitter to be one of those tools I would not want to be without. Twitter has become one of my top traffic sources to this blog. In fact, there are days when it even passes Google as my number one traffic referring site.

There have been many who have tried to give twitter a label. Some have said it is like a cocktail party. Others have said it is like a water cooler. And others have even said it is a waste of time. To me, twitter = interacting & learning from those you follow and who follow you.

Twitter is really what ever you want to make it to be. Yes, it can be a waste of time. And yes, it can be a distraction from those things you need to get done daily. And it can even be an efficient marketing tool. It really depends on how you want to use it and on how you do use it.

30 Days of Twitter Tips and Hints

What we are going to do over the next 30 days is spend each day discussing a different tip and/or hint on how to use twitter. While some of these ideas may not work for some of you, they may make your twitter experience more productive if you try them.

We will be posting a post each day of June on this topic. And I want to encourage all of you to make sure you leave comments and questions. If you leave your own tips and hints to this post and others, we will compile them into a post or two of reader tips.

In addition to the post you will see here, I also encourage all of you to post on your own blogs tips and hints on how you use twitter. Post on how you use twitter more efficiently, and let us know by using this form and provide the information requested. Or you can drop me an email with your post information at grant@g2webmedia.com. We will then put together a post and include a link to all of your post two. This is a great opportunity for all of us to learn from each other on how we might use twitter better. And have a lot of fun in the process.

I so agree - Twitter is about:

1. Interacting: real conversations with real people sharing what you know and love) and

2. Learning - I learn something new every day - and bonus! - I can now share it with my Tweeple and my Blog Readers strengthening our relationship and the community.

Keep up the great work. I look forward to reading more.
