If you are blogging or thinking about blogging, subscribers are going to be important to you. They are the visitors who have become your regular readers. Subscribers are some of the most important people who visit your blog. For todays home work in our 28 Days to Build a Successful Blog series, I want you to consider for a moment how you might go about getting subscribers.
In an effort to provide you with one simple task you can take away, here is one of the best kept secrets to getting subscribers.
ASK FOR THEM!!
I am serious. If you don’t ask, how can you expect your readers to subscribe? For example, when it comes to my Newsletter I put this simple bit of text at the bottom of some of my post:
Also don’t forget to subscribe to the Blog For Profit Newsletter. We include information in the newsletter we don’t feature here on the blog. And when you subscribe, you get a free copy of our eBook , Blogging Tips to Help You Blog.
And as a reminder to our readers to subscribe to our RSS or Email updates, I have used this text:
Remember to keep yourself up to date with what is going on at Blog For Profit. Make sure you subscribe to Blog For Profit’s RSS Feed or to our Email Updates.
What I want you to do is this. Over the next couple of weeks, and since you are going to be posting to your blog at least 3 times a week, (hint, hint) ask for subscriptions in at least 1 post per week. You might be pleasantly surprised at the results.
