Do Some Spring Cleaning

Toolbelt.jpgAs we are getting closer to winding down our series 28 Days Build a Successful Blog, I wanted to remind all of you to do something I have been doing the last couple of days.

Over the last couple of days I have been doing some serious spring cleaning. I have been getting rid of some of the e-newsletters I have been getting. And I have been unsubscribing to some which were showing up in more than one email inbox. It has been refreshing to say the least.

RSS reader make over

I have also been cleaning out the RSS reader. As you should know, I use and love NetNewsWire as my RSS reader. Built into NNW is a great feature where you can get a report of RSS feeds which have not been updated for a while. I cleaned out the inactive ones. I also spent some time going through my list of feeds and culled out those I was simply not reading any more.

While I know some of you may be so new to blogging your RSS reader may not have that many feeds in it. That is good. Keep it that way. Be picky on what feeds you subscribe to. Try to stay focused on the mission at hand. As for the large number of great newsletters we can subscribe to, be picky there too. Don’t overload your inbox with too many
